LG WING - FULL SPECIFICATIONS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL

LG WING

14th September, LG launched their new smartphones under Explorer Project. Actually not a ordinary smartphone, it comes with dual screen technology.

In past couple of years LG was silent in smartphone market. But now they come with the WING which may change whole dual screen smartphone market.

Every smartphone brands have different approach when it comes to dual screen smartphone. For example: Folding phones, Flip phones, dual display. But LG came with totally different form factor.

DESIGN

Design is the huge point to consider while buying. Some may like or some not. We don't find any other smartphone with this device so far.

It has dual screen. Main display is 6.8 inch massive POLED display with underdisplay fingureprint sensor. Secondary displays is 3.9 inch POLED display. Secondary display will be hidden under the primary display until you swipe the huge display to left.

HOW USEFULL THIS NEW FORM FACTOR IS?

This design or form factor is mainly focused for multitasking. As shown in video you can open two windows at one time. In normal smartphone while we have feature split screen which is great in lot of times but few apps doesn't support split screen. But now actually apps have full screen but you have bonus display to do some quick works like chats, typing etc. LG optimized inbuilt application for this particular device. And many other application also had optimized their apps according to this form factor. For example while playing Asphalt map will be displayed in secondary screen, while using map navigation calls will never disturb your way.

It CAMERAhas a 64MP main camera and 32MP front pop-up camera. They put acceleration sensors, while phone is dropped the popped up camera will goes in. Camera application is also optimized very well. They tried to give a gimbal experience by using secondary display.

SLIDE DURABILITY

LG claims that slide mechanism is very durable and tested for 2,00,000 time. This has a spring which helps you to slide primary display easily with slight touch. In video explained clearly how it build from inside so do watch.

CONS

Till now I explained positive things in this new way of dual display design and technology. But as it is a first generation for this form factor I have plenty of doubts. To be honest new technology takes time to digest into our minds, WING will also take time.
