ACER PREDATOR FINAL REVIEW - Everything You Need To Know About Predator

ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300

Before we jump into the review you need to know that, actually I haven't bought this laptop. One of my friend bought this in sales and I'm using this beast from past 20 days. In which I just hit it's max performance and tested like anything. I can surely say that, by the end of this review you can make your choice. If you know us we keep our blogs simple and clean. As always we divided this review in 6 parts. So let's get into the blog.

PARTS

1. Availability & Pricing
2. Design & Look
3. Display & Keyboard
4. Battery
5. Performance

1. AVAILABILITY & PRICING

We have waited so long for this product to be in stock. We ordered it from flipkart in sales, it costs us around 90k. Where as Amazom quoted more price for the same product more over that was previous generation which has 9th gen processor.

Any way we bought: i5 10th generation processor, 16GB RAM, 6GB Nvidia Geforce Graphic Card, 256GB SSD & 1TB HDD. @RS.90,000/- (click here)

Actually our budget was 80k. So, we had our eyes on little cheaper variant but that was out of stock all the time. We have left with only option.

This was all about problems and issues we have faced while order the product from online. But in offline it get even worse, we contact offline retail shops to compare price difference. It was shocking for us that, it was literally 40k price difference. So, buying it from online store is choice.

RATING: 2.9/5

2. Design & Look

Believe me design is stunning. For a gaming laptop this is one of the best design. It is a bulky and heavy but worth. This laptop has all the needed ports. But to be frank holding this laptop doesn't give me that premium feel. And if you carry your laptop daily to college or office, it may be inconvenient to some people. If you can't carry that bulky laptop in bag pack all the time, you should not even consider into your list.

RATING: 4/5

3. Display & Keyboard

Display quality is really good. It has very bright and high quality panel. I'm using in 5% brightness always. That's fine for me.

When it comes to keyboard, keys are so good to type. I can type all the day with same feel. I just like the keys, very responsive and give a great feed back. Actually keys are so satisfying to click. And I'm not a fan of RGB backlight keys but I'm ok with that. You can change the color accordingly, and add multiple colors. Touch pad is also very responsive and it is big in size which helps a lot while playing games. Only negative I felt was finger print scanner, it would be better if Acer had provided.

RATING: 4/5

4. Battery

Let's talk about battery. In predator battery backup is decent enough. If you play heavy games it drains very fast. But if you are online searching or watching movies or something casual stuff, it gives a better battery backup than many Windows laptops. Changing time, I never particularly noted but it takes some decent time to charged 100%. If you are charging and doing some work on laptop, fans will be turn on but doesn't get any heat. Well lets discuss about the performance in next part.

RATING: 3.5/5

5. Performance

Keeping this part simple, performance is great. You have to turn on graphic card and put in max level while playing heavy games. It will give you great visuals. Trust me you will definitely enjoy your games. But, it gets heated so much. I downloaded the games like GTA and Apex Legend, and when I started the game suddenly fans gets on and laptop stars heating. I kept my hand on laptop, that was horrible. But don't worry when I removed the game it again get into normal temperature in few minutes. And again I on the game and played for while by keeping graphics in medium, visuals are simply great and I haven't face any frame drops even in high settings.

RATING: 4/5
