REFUND ISSUE ON ONLINE SHOPPING

FLIPKART REFUND STRUGGLE

We have seen lot of online scams or heard about it. And some times you will be surprised, that you won't get what you have  ordered or some more like- refund issues, or scams related to payments. So, I am going to share my personal experience which I have faced when I booked a laptop for my friend.

This blog is completely depended on my personal experience, I thought this would be helpful to you in some cases. Before get into the blog do subscribe my blog. And comment below if you have any similar experiences.

Let's start from very beginning. One of my friend decided to buy a laptop from Flipkart. He was stuck with Acer Predator. He was searching and watched hundreds of unboxing videos of Acer Predator. Finally, My friend and I , tried to book it in Flipkart but it was out of stock. We checked in other mobile randomly, suddenly the status of that laptop  was in stock. Then enthusiastically we  tried to book it but at last step (payment) it displayed out of stock. We thought  that, it's a Flipkart application bug and left it. And My friend went back to his home with disappointment. In the  evening when I was scrolling the Flipkart ,unexpectedly I saw that laptop was in stock, immediately I called him to  send his debit card number and all those stuff. And I orderd it without wasting a minute.Every step of order was successful and money was debited from his account. He felt so happy and excited too.
Okay! Moment of truth I just booked different laptop Asus ROG. Both ROG and Predator look similar for a second and I made a huge mistake.

Then I told about this mistake to my friend and explained the whole situation, within 5 mins we cancelled the order. As per Flipkart cancellation will be successful in 4hrs and refund will be credited in 2-3 days I guess.

Actually, I was unable to sleep, it's a huge amount and more over it's my friend's money.Me and My friend kept  checking bank 's refund status and refreshing Flipkart page for  3 days but refund was not credited back. So, we again contacted customer care fo Flipkart  and asked them about refund. They said from Flipkart everything is cleared and it may be your bank's fault. And they suggested  us to reach to the bank and ask them about this mess.

As per their suggestion, next day we went to bank. Here I have to tell something. Most of the employees in bank does not have any idea about refund. We went to one of the counter and explained him, he said it's not our job ,bank don't have any access on refund issues. Later, we went to the  other counter, he said refunds are not accessible by bank, you have to contact with the respective bank's customer care. As this was our first experience and we thought they are correct. And we dialed number to customer care of the bank and explained everything .Calling customer care was the major step we did. They explained everything clearly and actually ,customer care don't have any authority to check refund issues. They just raise a complaint behalf of us. So, we raised a complaint on those bank employees "lack of knowledge in employee". And he said again go to the Bank and try to ask every employee. So, we went inside again knocking every counter. Finally, we found one of the relatives who is working there and got help from him.He took us to a

the right counter and we again explained him everything. He said write a complaint letter and mention transaction ID, ordered date, product and all the necessary details. We submitted that letter and waited for 2 more days. But still refund was not credited.

While this process was going, we kept calling Flipkart customer care all the time and asking the same question. After 2 days again we called Flipkart customer care, but this time they suggested a different approach. They sent a email where we have to submit our last transactions from the day of debited. So we upload the mini statement receipt. And BOOM. With in 5 minutes money was credited back into his account. That was one of the happiest and  relaxed moment.

Here ,I was ok with Flipkart's Customer care's reaponse. We got very productive and informative response. Where as banks(We refered SBI), they even don't have any idea about Flipkart, Amazon, online shopping, refunds.

If in case you have a similar issue, please do contact with online store customer cares. And don't hesitate to call and try to find as much as possible ways. They come up with better suggestions than government Banks.

That's it for this blog hope you find it informative. Please do share across your friends & family and do support us.
