In this blog we will discuss about the updates related to Maps, which google has bring to us in this Google IO. I will share the updates and also the practical possibility. This blog is completely based on the Indian users.

Google said that, google have more new features which help you to navigate also help you to find the destinations easily. First this they introduced about the bike lanes which they added into the Google Maps, and as per Google they have added around 150KM of bike lanes. But this is completely not related to the Indian routes or Indian scenario. They may have added the bike routes of US like countries because they have separate bike lanes. It may help the people who live in those countries and use bikes for their day drive.

Eco Friendly Routes, this feature will take you to the route which will help you to reduce the fuel consumption. This calculates the road condition, traffic, distance, road grade etc to increase the efficiency and also the accuracy. And final out put will give you a most fuel efficient way to your destination.

Other than these, Google Maps has got few more updates like the showing the accurate data or routes and also the shortest distanced routes and save your time and also fuel.

Opinion:

In my opinion this doesn't feel like actual update, it means these are the minor updates added to the actual features which are already present from past. As we have ton of feature loaded in the Google Maps, these updates are acceptable for now. But I was expecting more effective features will launch in MAPS on this Google IO event.
