In this blog we will discuss about the LaMDA, which google has bring to us in this Google IO. I will share the updates and also the practical possibility.
This is one of the most exciting technology which google has introduced in the Google IO 2021. I really impressed with LaMDA, I feel like this feature has great potential in education field especially for the kids who are in Nursery, LGK, 1st etc.
It is easy to teach about any thing in very simple way and also helps student to clear his/her doubts in even better way.
Let me explain that, what features it offers to us.
As google it is based on text conversations for now. Google has trained and tested this application for text communication. And I am so curious to see the voice conversation in real world.
To clarify you, Google Assistant is different from this, Google Assistant is a application which answers your questions in limited sentences, I mean you can't carry a single conversation for longer period.
Google shows a demo on event where, actually LaMDA will take a character of the particular thing and chat with you in it's perspective. For example, if you ask a car, Lamda will act like a car and provide you information as Car is chating with you.
Ex:-
you: When was the first car was made?
Lamda (as car): I was first patented at 1886.
Like this Lamda will continue a conversation with you as a car's perspective. To achieve this, Lamda first collect all the data about the particular thing which you have asked and give you suitable response or answer as that particular thing's perspective. (😅 complicated to explain but I think, did well)
As I told you at the beginning, it will helpful to give better education for the future students and also who are interested in learning new things. I hope this technology get more advanced and available in voice conversation also. I don't think it as difficult for Google to provide this in voice conversation very.
MULTIMODAL MODEL
This is another piece of software technology which Google introduced in Google IO 2021.
This will help you in better searching results. This completes our need more accurately and much faster than before. You can get exactly what you want from internet. Google shows a demo of asking google assistant to find a route which follows mountains and river, and it take you to google maps application and showing a route which has a nearest possible location which has exactly what you asked for.
Another demo they displayed, As he asked to show the clip where Lion roaring at the sunset, it directly takes to the video and forwarded itself and resumed at the scene where Lion was roaring on sunset. This was insane. These kind of features feels so cool to use in real life. You don't need to search complete video for exact scene, it saves lot of time and also the hustle.
These are the one of the most exciting technology which Google has introduced on Google IO 2021. I'm really looking forward for these kind of technology to exist in real worls scenario very soon.
