Hello Everyone!
WWDC 2021 was held on 07-06-2021 the event is conducted online as we saw last year. So, in this blog we will discuss about the launch event and the major upgrades we get to see in this WWDC part one.
iOS 15
We have divided this blogs into four parts as the Apple's event was divided to give you better perspective.
Staying Connected
In staying connected Face Time is the first thing Apple upgraded. They have upgraded many thing and introduced plenty of new features which are very important for video conferences. They said about the spatial audio which helps to identify that which person is talking and it indicate by an animation.
Next thing is about the noise cancellation which helps to produce more clear voice and cut down the noise. Now video also has been upgraded widely. Now while you are on video Conference with friends or team mates, you can see everyone's video in a square box which they called as grid. All the participants can will appear on the single screen.
Next big thing is about the connecting the android device users with the help of FaceTime. Now android users can also join the Face Time call through the browser with iOS user which is definitely one of the perfect feature to give.
FaceTime Link is the feature where you can invite your friends or colleagues for a FaceTime call via invite link. This is like a Zoom call link.
Share Play
In FaceTime Apple has introduced much more features like Share Play. This helps to share content with all the friends at the same time while you are on the FaceTime call. This will let you share music, videos, movies etc. This will help you to connect with Your friends even from different places.
Messages
Now we can see new features in messages application of Apple which have the option of share messages, media and much more. You can easily share any files by using messaging app.
Focus
Finding focus, first thing they added few features to the notifications, now you can schedule time for notifications to pop up on your screen in a groups, which helps you to keep focusing and it doesn't distract with not useful notifications, when you are doing dome work.
Now you use your device in different work scenarios like in android you can shift modes guest, personal etc. So, Now in iOS 15 we can customise our iPhone in couple of different modes. So, you can distinguish your between your personal and professional times. Best part of this feature is, if you set this on one Apple device due to the Apple eco system all other Apple devices also changes their settings automatically.
Intelligence
Cameras
In intelligence Apple shows how their devices can make things much easier. The started with the camera.
They shows that how the iPhone can identify and pop out the text using camera. Not only text but also the things and living beings.
Photos
Photos app now got a one of the good feature which actually use the music application in background. It will play music for you pictures which is collected by the Apple software in your 'For You' tab. This is not the feature which will help you in many things but it's a gesture which may feel you nostalgic and also enjoy the moments with perfect music. And many tings you will get in the photos application which is widely customisable.
Explore The World
In this part Apple has divided this into three major parts like, Wallet Weather, Maps.
Wallet
Apple has introduced their new application called Wallet. This will help to completely replace the physical wallet with an application. We have seen may wallets in past which comes handy while paying bills and transfer money. Which means those wallets are only focused on the cashless wallet nothing more than that. Usually in our wallets we keep identity cards, hotel keys also. But now you can your mobile will be the actual wallet which holds the data of ID cards, hotel keys etc. As per Apple many companies are collaborated with Apple which will directly send a key to the iPhone when you books the hotel rooms, While entering the room you just need to tap on the lock the lock will open. These features are possible because of NFC.
Weather
Weather app has got many updates like new animations and whole new design which is more appealing and interactive. This app will show the exact weather condition in better graphics and also it provides many new details which help more.
Maps
Usually Maps app shows 3D structures, but his is limited for only few cities and with the new update they introduced that they are going to add few more cities with this feature.
I really felt that they have updated many things in maps like navigation graphics and the night and day modes which will give you immersive experience while driving. This is not limited to the driving but also the train journey experience by showing the train details with timings. And many features like these are added.
Air pods
Next updates about the iOS 15 is Air Pods. Now you can get better connectivity and and you can locate your device by the find my device application. It will help to find the Air Pods by using the Bluetooth connectivity of the device is around your device. If the device is far it will show far which means your Air Pod is out of your reach.
Opinion
In my opinion, There is nothing which make me fee l like mind blowing updates in iOS 15 from the previous version. Many features are seen in the android devices since many years. But Apple is providing a stable and much more effective and efficient improvements than other OS like Android. Actually this upgrades feel, many applications like face time and few Apple is giving access for other OS users which is good for many things. This will help people to use only Apple applications instead of third party apps to connect with the android users.
These are the updates regarding iOS 15.
iPad OS 15
Widgets
The new iPad OS 15 is now updated with the widgets as we saw in the iOS. This is very useful in iPhone so it will definitely also helpful in the iPads. More than that it also has the app library where you can make a library of different groups of applications as you convenience.
Multi Tasking
Now you can use multi tasking on your iPads which much more features which help to improve the usability. This is definitely not new technology but it is more stable and many useful features are added to use it extensively.
Quick Note
This will let you to take note of anything while using iPad. You just need to drag it from the right most corner at down side of the display and take quick note and again drag down it will automatically save it in background.
Translate
Translate is already available in the iOS but now it is made available in the iPad OS. Now you can translate any text seamlessly as Apple claims.
Build Apps
This helps to build apps for iPhones and also for the iPad on iPads. This has many features which will help developers to build apps easier even for the beginners.
Opinion
Honestly, there is nothing to talk about iPad OS 15. Nothing is exciting for me in this updates. It feels like just giving the features which are previously available in the iPhone on to the iPads. Every update they shows are those which we are being using since many years. But still Apple make features more stable and secure to use and they try to keep things in their eco system.
Anyway I'm literally 0% excited for the updates in the iPad OS 15.

Privacy
Like every other companies Apple also introduced some major updates regarding privacy and security protection.
Mails
They introduced a new feature as mail protection which helps to protect IP address and other details about your usage. Same thing goes with the safari browser where it protect you from the hacker attack.
App Privacy Report
This is collects and make a report of data about which app is accessing what in our devices. And it will let you know the data of last 7 days what kind of things it is accessing and how often it accesses.
Siri
Few more updates in Siri to protect users data and as they claims no data will leave the device. These updates on Siri will make it much more secure and protected.
iCloud
Aapple had made few updates which keep you protected as well as easy to use. Where, if you lost or forget your password you can ask your friend or family member for a secret code. As per Apple they can't access your account.
iCloud+
iCloud+ is a service where you will get extra services and also the privacy in web searches. You can add upto 5 security cams and much more features.
WatchOS 8
WatachOS 8 has been updated in two major parts like Health
Health
Apple has made many updates on health area in WatchOS 8. One of them is Mindfulness app which will help users to relax and fresh up their mind.
Apple watch now also can track users reparatory rate.
Connectivity
Another major updateon WatchOS is about the connectivity with other Apple devices. You can directly access your photos on Apple watch and also share them from watch itself. Which will save your time.
Next thing is you can directly send messages through the watch itself. You have to do some extra exercise for this because, you need to write every letter on the screen one by one.
These are the only updates we get with WatchOS 8.
MacOS 12 - MacOS Monterey
As we have seen in iOS and iPadOS it also get few features like Focus which helps to keep focused on work by scheduling the notifications. And also the notes which let you take quick notes which will saved automatically.
To added to these we get new features like,
Universal Control
Universal Control is one of the example of Apple Eco system. As they displayed that, We just have keep MacBook, MacPro, & iPad and all the devices will connect seemlessly and you can move cursor from one device to other without changing any settings. And you can just drag what ever you want from a one device and use it in other devices. This is cool feature which may be very helpful for users who are the part of Apple Eco System.
Air Play
Now the air play has been available in MacBooks. Air Play will creat a connection across all the Apple devices like iPhone, iPad etc. By this feature we can draw on iPad and it will directly displayed on the bigger screen. Users can play what ever they want on bigger screen from smaller screen in just one click.
Shortcuts
Shortcuts is one of the feature which will help users to do multiple tasking much easier and it has shortcut features like you can just drag the photo and drop in messenger, it will send to your friend. (This is I understand from event, basically this feature is confusing for me too I will update when get the full details).
Safari
In Safari browser Apple made many changes which are practically important. They spoke about how secure Safari browser is.
Safari browser is now got much beautiful design and features. Apple made every thing compact and it more look like a part of that page as the tab section will be merged in same theme of the page. Next huge thing is tab groups, it let you to create multiple groups of tabs where you can different types of content on different groups.
Now like every Apple features Safari also works same on MacBooks & iPads, and in iPhone they tried to give similar experience even in a smaller screen. And all the devices will be updated the same content at same time.
These are the updates which Apple giving in MacOS 12 Monterey.
