Hello everyone!

I bought Macbook Pro M1 as my first laptop. Previously I have used PC which is based on windows. This blog is all about my experience with this whole process of purchasing a Laptop. I will share, why I decided to buy a laptop and what makes me to buy a MacBook.

This blog is all about my first experience or first impressions only.

HOW I DECIDED TO BUY MACBOOK?

Actually first I was searching for perfect laptop in windows around  the price of 40k, but nothing was fulfilling my requirements and then I had increased my budget to 60k to 70k. When I have a budget of around 70k, I started searching for premium laptops. Because putting so much money on laptop I wanted to buy one which will porovide a longer battery life and constant performance for years. As we all know when it comes to premium products first name we get in our mind is Apple (for me atleast). But the problem was budget, where my budget ends their the price for old model of MacBooks starts. But once we set our decision for premium products, we can't come back to budget laptops. Finally decided to buy MacBook, So, I have to wait for few days and save money 💵. 

Decided to buy a MacBook, but I was confused between both laptops based M1 chip, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. After many confusions, comparisons, watching hundreds of videos on internet, MacBook Pro was finalized. So, I made my mind for Pro over Air because it will give more constant performance than Air and also it has a fans which keeps internal components cooler in long term when compared to Air.  

HOW I GOT DISCOUNT AROUND  Rs.20,000/- ON MACBOOK PRO

I ordered MacBook Pro from Apple official website, from which I got benefits of discounts and cash backs which means, actual base variant of MacBook Pro M1 is around Rs.1,22,990/- with student discount it costs around Rs.1,10,600/-. You may get Rs.6000/- extra discount on any apple product by paying bill with HDFC credit card. Total which will costs you around Rs.1,04,600/-. So,  it was a great deal 👍.

By this process I went through many experiences and problems regarding order shipments. That will be shared in next blog which will be very interesting and informative. So, stay tuned and subscribe my blog to get notified.

Okay this much information about my purchase is seems enough. Let me share the experience with product.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON MACBOOK PRO M1 😘

OMG! This is the only word I got in my mind. I was super excited for MacBook Pro and may be this sounds like biased but I can't help it.

First thing you notice is build quality. Trust me, the build quality is solid (strong and steady) and beautiful. It is more beautiful in reality than the images and videos you see on online. When I hold the laptop in my hands for the first time, I felt very happy and satisfied. It does worth everything I did for it. I just hold it in my hands for few moments and absorbing the beauty. And after that I opened it.

It was first time with Apple products, So, little bit confusing to setup but also interesting for me. And it took me about 10 minutes to understand and set everything up.

Then I set everything and used for few moments as, installing few applications according to my needs and customized the desktop as per my taste. It was very smooth and also interesting because I was new to this interface. As I'm using it from past 2 days every thing is so smooth and great.

As I mentioned battery backup  and constant performance is major concern which I have with laptops. So, in this MacBook Pro as we all know battery life is epic. I’m using from past 2 days but haven’t plug the charger to laptop yet and it still has more than 40% juice. And next thing is speakers, it has loud and clear front firing speakers. I think front firing speakers are perfect placing for speakers on any laptop.

Another thing which I specially want to mention in this blog is about the touch bar, it is really a very helpfull and easy to use. I don’t know why many people do complaining about it. Any way this a subjective few might like or few might dislike. But personally I found it very handy.

And next thing is track pad, it is also a plus point in any mac. And tgen display quality is also great, it goes up to 500 nits brightness, which is dope for any laptop laptops. 

As every technology and electronics have their own positive and negative points. M1 MacBook Pro also has few features which should be improved. First is ports, it has only two thunderbolt ports which is definitely not enough to do any thing or connect with other devices and transfer files. Second con is web cam, at this price point apple should provide better web cam. Webcam just seems very cheap. Actually these are the issues I have faced while setting up my mac. I need to get a OTG or dongle.

FINAL WORDS

In summarize everything, this purchase is not bad so far. I have another blog lined up, related to this purchase and I will share how helpful the Apple customer care people are and how they resolved the problem with delivery scenario. I Don't want to include that experience in this blog because it is little bit serious issue and complicated too. So,  I decided to post a dedicated blog on it soon.
