I have bought M1 MacBook Pro two months ago and the first impression and experience have been shared in the below mentioned blog. Please do visit that blog first and continue reading this very informative blog.
The Beast Is Here | MY FIRST APPLE PRODUCT | MACBOOK PRO M1 🍏
As you can see my above mentioned blog, I have bought MacBook Pro M1 two months ago and posted the blog related to my first experience and the whole process you can look that blog first and then come to this blog.
So, in this blog I'm giving review where I explain positive and negative parts and also about, is it worth buying the MacBook Pro or not? In this blog we are going to discuss where it shines and where it need more developments. As you can see it.
I will take this blog forward in three different scenarios like;
1. Battery
2. Performance
3. Value For Money
Battery
But I would say, in my case this is only used for blogging, watching movies and browsing. In simple word I haven't used it heavily which may consume lot of battery like gaming and other video editing things.
One more thing related to battery is charging time. MacBook Pro M1 get a 61W adapter which juice ups my Mac to 100% in less than 1:30 mins (approx). The adapter get little warm but Mac remains cool which is good. Another minute thing is charging cable, the cable is very long enough to charge your device from any corner.
I will rate this product in terms of battery backup 5/5.
Performance
We all already know that the performance on this device is much better than ever in this lineup, which is 13 inch Macs or any other laptops which is Intel i5 based laptops.
But when it comes to performance in my opinion it is more than enough for people who use it as any other i5 and i7 based laptop like 1080p video editing, photoshop, browsing and watching videos or movies. You can even play low graphics games and low power consuming games which are optimised with M1 chip. But you can't play heavy games which may drain out your MacBook performance.
And one biggest concern is about the apps, because it is a very new technology or new chip we may expect some minor or major issues with the apps, many apps are still not performing with this chip. But it's just a matter of time which will get improved very soon before the next generation Apple chip launches.
In performance we have to consider every thing like camera performance, audio output, display performance etc.
So, let's talk about camera and mic, In MacBooks camera is one of the part which people hated. Same goes with this Mac, it doesn't capture good pictures or videos. It is kind of okay for the video calls or video conferences. Mic take better audio as I said which is enough for video calls.
Next thing is about display and audio output. MacBook has very good quality screen which produce great colours and also bright enough. I think it is one of the best displays I saw in a laptops. When it is about display we must talk about touch bar, really touch bar feels very useful for me to do my work much faster and effectively. Things which are used while writing content for blogging it is very useful. Little things make the works much easier and time efficient.
That's it for the performance, I will rate this product in terms of performance as 4.5/5.
Value For Money
This part of the blog is more like an opinion where I will explain every point which makes it worth and which doesn't worth buying it.
As you know every thing in any product like performance, processor, battery backup, display, typing experience, software optimization, other little things will be calculated with the pricing. If brand gives better performance in lower price, it says value for money. If they fails to give good specs in lower price they called as over price.
So, let us discuss specs with the price point of view.
Here we have two option with M1 chip. One is MacBook Pro and other is MacBook Air , both the base variants have similar configuration which is 8GB RAM, and 256GB ROM which is SSD Storage. And both are 13 inch laptops which have same resolution.
Here you may have confused between which one is better to buy. To understand that we have to see major differences between them. What truly differentiate them is, MacBook Pro comes with the bigger battery and also it has a fans which keeps laptop cool while heavy usage but the Air does has cooling technology but not the physical fan. This thing in long run, definitely make difference and also affects on performance in general.
But in the case of M1 chip the laptop does not get heat even if you use it for long time. If you do a very heavy tasks back to back and push your device limit it may get warm but nothing major to concern about. As using MacBook Pro from 2 months, I never heard any fan noise it was always silent.
I'm trying to explain that you M1 Mac doesn't get over heat, I can assure as per my experience. Today if I have choice, I prefer to go with the Air instead of Pro. The price difference of 30k is not worthy. I'm not regret about my purchase because my requirement was totally different and also I had a budget to invest in. My point is all about if you are looking to buy Pro, it is not the price worthy but the device is a beast. But if you are looking for a value for money products MacBook Air fit into it more than Pro.
I hope you get my point what I'm trying to prove. And these are the points I have noticed in my M1 MacBook Pro usage.
I will rate this product in terms of value for money as 2.5/5. By keeping MacBook Air in list.
