Slimmest Smartphone Xiaomi MI 11 Lite | Snapdragon 732G processor, 4250 mAh Battery, 33 W Fast Charger, 90 Hz Refresh Rate, AMOLED Display, 64MP Camera, 23 Director Modes, @ Rs.19,000

MI 11 LITE

Xiaomi has launched MI 11 Lite in Indian market on 22st of June. They launched it in a 4G variant. And in launch event it self they kind of promised about the 5G variant may be introduced very soon in Indian market where these are globally released long back ago.

Anyhow in this blog I'm going to share my thoughts on MI 11 Lite, whether it is worth or not. In India it is launched at the starting price of Rs.21,999 and with discounts it will be available in Rs.20,500 or Rs.19,000 and the top variant will costs Rs.2000 extra than the base variant. Pre Order sales are open from 12pm 25-06-2021.

So, let's get into the details. I have divided this blog into few different parts and analyse the capabilities of this device.

Key Note :

Design
Display
Battery
Camera
Performance
Opinion

Design

The design is the USP of this device, where it has the slimmest body with very light weight. It is about 6.81mm thick and it weighs about 157grams. Personally I like light weight smartphones and I bought Vivo V21 recently because of its thin and light weight. So, being thin it is not the compact kind of phone. It has good on paper battery power and also decent performance. I will explain that in later part of this blog. Now in terms of design Xiaomi nailed it.

At the back panel we can see triple camera setup with a LED flash light. Back panel is coated with matte finish which enhances the look and help to reduce finger prints. Here we have 3 colour variants as Jazz Blue, Tuscany Coral, Vinyl Black. Names are getting complicated by every launch 😅.

Display

In MI 11 lite we have 6.55 inch FHD+ display with resolution of 1080*2400p. And best thing is it has an AMOLED panel which is 10 bit display. Also it has a 90 Hz refresh rate which give you smooth experience and also has the HDR 10 support. It has a punch hole front camera. And best thing I feel is finger print placement, It don't have in display finger print scanner but it is placed at the side in the power button itself.

Battery

When it comes to battery MI done great job. It has a 4250 mAh battery which is challenging part for the smartphones particularly for the slim devices. I guess they achieved this by increasing the length and width of the device by keeping thin body. However, they did good R&D. According Xiaomi it lasts for whole day without any issues. To charge this battery we get a 33W fast charging adapter.

Camera

MI 11 Lite comes with triple camera setup at rear and single punch hole at front side. On rear side it has 64MP + 8MP + 5MP and on front side it has 16MP. Where 64 MP primary lens, 8MP Ultra Wide Lens, 5 MP TeleMacro lens. Xiaomi gave 23 director modes inbuilt which helps to enhance the video and picture quality even if you are not expert in it. In simple words these director modes have pre installed features which adjust and filter your captured footage and give you the best possible output.

Performance

Mi 11 Lite is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, It is not 5G enabled device only 4G connectivity is available. It is an Octa core processor. You can play medium graphics games with decent performance expectations. Because it is a very thin smartphone you may notice little bit heat from the back panel which is normal in my opinion. But still it is not a gaming centric smartphone. And it comes with MIUI 12 based on Android 11 out of the box. As we are talking about performance it is all focused on keeping device slim and so you might notice few downgrades in it as a performance point of view.

Opinion

In my opinion this device is mainly targeting those users while like compact and slim smartphones and doesn't care about performance and decent performance is enough for them.

And I recommend MI 11 lite because it's high quality display and the slim profile. And because of, even with slim profile it has decent amount of battery power.

But one major drawback this device comes with is lack of 5G connectivity support. But honestly if I haven't bought Vivo V21 may be this will be in my list.
