MACBOOK PRO M1 OR MACBOOK AIR M1

MACBOOK AIR OR MACBOOK PRO

This is short blog we will clarify that why you should go for MacBook Pro over the MacBook Air (or) vice-versa.

Already you may have seen many comparisons between them. Compared considering performance, battery, heating etc. So, in this blog we will give a proper conclusion for those who are still having a benefit of doubt.

We have divided this blog into various categories and at final we conclude this blog with our opinions.

DESIGN

Both models are made of aluminum. And keyboard, speakers, trackpad are similar in both the MacBooks. But if I have to pick according to design, I like to pick MacBook Air because of the design. While typing Air gives better comfort because of slope design. And also Air is thinner and lighter than the Pro.

You get physical function keys on Air where as in Pro you have touch bar. The touch bar will change its functions according to what application you are using. It's your choice that, which one you prefer.

DISPLAY

Both the MacBooks have True Tone Technology display with Full HD resolution. Both have same size which is 13.3 inch. But you can see the Pro has better brightness, it goes all the way upto 500 nits and Air maximum brightness is 400 nits. 400 nits brightness on a laptop is enough.

BATTERY

Both MacBooks have stunning battery backup, because M1 chip they are working more efficient than any previous generation MacBooks. But when it comes to comparison between the both M1 Macs, Pro has better battery backup than tha Air. Here the Pro is the clear winnner. If you are looking for a more efficient in terms of battery Pro is a better choice.

PERFORMANCE

As you know MacBook Air and Pro has same chip. If you had seen performance tests both are best when comparison with any other laptops. But b/w the both laptops definitely Pro is more powerful than Air. Here we have to notice that the performance difference is not huge between them.

One more thing I would like to mention that about the fans. Cooling fans are very important, which helps laptops to dissipate the heat to give better performance, but, in Air fans are missing. Even the fans are not provided in Air, it is not heating or no-one faced trouble related to this. The time will be the proof that how effectively these fanless MacBooks do perform in future.

OPINION

As I mentioned above MacBook Pro is undoubtedly a winner and it so obvious. But the question is, performance difference  between MacBook Air and MacBook Pro does justify the price difference of around ₹30k?. In my opinion simply, it does not justify at any mean. Of course you get a better performance but the price difference is not worth. I will recommend Air if you are a casual user watching movies, editing programs, or if you are a college student. You can save money instead of wasting money. Buy if you are looking for a powerful laptop which helps you to video editing, photo editing, and many heavy tasks you should go for a Pro version. Because Pro has fans it feels more reliable and promising.
